I Admit it. Yeah. I Feel bad laughing at you at your expense on a five-day vacation now I Know that's the worst way to the living room. I'll see you guys in five days.

    I have been throwing my back out since I was 17. Try an ice pack or bag of frozen peas (wrapped in a dish towel) on the inflamed area for 20 to 30 minutes. If that doesn't help try a heat pad.
    What worked best for me (because I lived alone) was crawling on the floor like a toddler 2 or 3 times a day (to get the door or aspirin). Crawling takes the weight off your back while stretching and aligning gently. It's so much less pain than trying to walk upright.
    Then when you get better do butt clenches sitting or standing (tense your butt cheeks for 10 counts, relax your cheeks for 15 counts, do it 10 times. Repeat 2-3 times a day.) Clenches strengthen your lower back. Ignore all this if your back sprain is somewhere else.
    Also, a highly recommended chiropractor can work miracles and tell you if you injured a disc.
    I don't recommend pills unless it's some aspirin/ extra strength advil.
