She's teaching him how to deal with losing and about how you can't win everything.
Ah yes he is so gonna learn how to read, write, solve mathical problems, how to have fun when you laugh at him losing in a video game while being played somewhat competitively.
Only thing this teaches is how to laugh at other failures and be super comepetitive and that failure is only going to lead to anger and pain.. real good life lessons right?
Also you arent parenting. You are acting like the childs friend. You are their parent not their friend so you should raise him like a parent. This does not mean be strict and whatnot but it does mean is to teach him how not to be a toxic person and how to use tools around him to improve his skills and dreams.
Laughing at your child losing.. what the child see is:
You laughing at their failure to win or do well and that he/she is a failure in comparison to you so in order to not be laughed at, must get perfect and win with all the effort possible to not look like a failure because of never looking good enough.

My mom had to convince me to play iPad games with her when I was like 4 and now I’m a senior in highschool and we still play games together, albeit Hearthstone is more strategic than Putt Putt Travels to the Zoo but it’s always been something special we share 🙂
